Real Mecha Debuts At Wonder Fest 2012
As is typically the case, something this awesome will probably be the beginning of the end for all humankind.
What could be worse than telling a child that there is no Santa Claus? Telling them that Santa is really a giant robot operated by elves.
If I was into giant robots, this would be awesome.
Did you know the US Air Force built it’s very own mecha? In 1961? This really existed. It was built by General Electric and was called the Beetle. Designed to withstand a nuclear blast and radiation, its primary purpose was to assist in airplane maintenance after an atomic attack. Years ahead of its time, though, the prototype never quite worked out and the program was eventually cancelled. At least, that’s what they say happened.
